THE MANDORLO HOSPICE
The Mandorlo Hospice, managed by Fondazione ANT Italia ONLUS in partnership with ASP, is a residential healthcare facility offering inpatient care in a comfortable, home-like environment for oncology and non-oncology patients who, even temporarily, are no longer able to receive adequate care at home and require continuous specialist palliative care in a residential setting.
Thanks to the work of a multidisciplinary team made up of doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, a psychologist, a physiotherapist, a social worker and volunteers, ANT staff provide comprehensive patient care through an inclusive and holistic care model inspired by our founding value of Eubiosia — the “Good Life” — understood as the values and qualities that give life dignity.
How to Reach the Facility
The Mandorlo Hospice is located in Viggiano (Province of Potenza), at 6 Via Alberto Salvi. Once you reach the entrance to the town, simply follow the signs to the Hospice.

Statement by Raffaella Pannuti
“The Mandorlo Hospice represents a renewed commitment by Fondazione ANT to the Basilicata region, where over the past twenty years we have invested significant resources, planning and best practices. With the Mandorlo Hospice, we do not intend to change the way we support people living with advanced and late-stage cancer. Rather, we are continuing our commitment to defending the dignity of life while exploring a care model that complements the one we have always provided, in complete continuity with our vision of a world where no one facing cancer should ever feel abandoned. What remains unchanged for us — both at home and in hospice care — is a healthcare model with deep ethical and moral roots that places the person at the centre of care. Like my father, Professor Franco Pannuti, who pioneered ANT’s home care services in 1978, we view hospice care not merely as the final stage of care, but as a transitional care model that extends beyond end-of-life support. This is a service we intend to integrate into our care model in order to offer every patient who turns to us solutions and opportunities tailored as closely as possible to each patient’s individual needs.”
